    #### Introduction: Nonverbal Communication Across Cultures

Is there a culture other than your own that you encounter either personally or professionally? Have you considered the importance of knowing the differences between the two cultures when examining nonverbal cues? During this assignment, you will have the opportunity to do some research and make some observations related to this topic.

Note: The headings identified below and detailed on your template must be used to keep your submission organized.

    **A. Culture**

Select a culture other than your own and begin this paragraph by clearly stating which culture you have selected. Then, share why you would like to learn how to use nonverbal cues more sensitively when communicating with someone from your selected culture.

    **B. Source**

Through a search, **find a website, video, or article** that provides insight regarding nonverbal markers of your chosen culture and how awareness of these cues is needed. Once you have found that source, summarize the information from that source in this paragraph. Begin the paragraph with the title of the source and where you found it. In the rest of the paragraph, summarize the important elements the source provides.

Here are some possible prompts for your research. You may fill in the blank with your chosen culture for this assignment.

    1. Awareness of nonverbal distinctives in the ________________ culture.
    2. Caring about cultural nonverbal markers when communicating with  ____________.
    3. Understanding the gestures used by _____________________ to communicate.
    4. Hand gestures you need to know when traveling to _____________.
    5. Awareness of ___[your choice]_____ nonverbal communication concerns when communicating with ____________ culture.

    **C. Awareness**

In a well-written paragraph, share how you will use the information you have found in your source, along with the information provided through our textbook and lesson, to make personal communication changes. The next time you encounter the culture you have selected in 2A, how will you be more sensitive based on what you have learned in your 2B research? Make sure you use in-text citations as your reference for your outside source, textbook, and/or lesson.

    [>Operations Management homework help](https://www.sweetstudy.com/fields/business-finance-operations-management)

In previous courses within this program, you learned about backlogs and their role in the closing phase of a project. These documents are typically used in hybrid or agile project management. A product backlog is a prioritized list of all product functionalities, gathered by the product owner from various stakeholders. A sprint backlog includes a subset of the product backlog items. It should detail the work to be completed for the functionality to be delivered at the end of the upcoming sprint. Both types of backlogs can affect the project schedule.

    ##### **Assignment Preparation**

On the [PM/490 Scenario](https://multimedia.phoenix.edu/cms/202551344) page, **review** the scenario from the previous assessments before reading the Week 4 addition.

**Review** the [Project Scope](https://multimedia.phoenix.edu/cms/202551237) document and the WBS from the Week 2 summative assessment. _If you received feedback that indicates corrections were needed to the Week 2 WBS, make these corrections first before continuing to use the WBS for this week._  Use the information to complete this assessment.

    ##### **Assignment Deliverable**

**Use** the [Backlogs](https://multimedia.phoenix.edu/cms/202551254) template to complete the product backlog for the product and the sprint backlog for the upcoming sprint that starts tomorrow. The WBS you created in Week 2 provides critical information and can be used as the starting point for creating the product backlog.

You will refer to and reflect on this assignment in the Week 5 summative assessment.

    #### **Assignment Support**

    – To review the components of a product backlog, watch “Backlog Management” in this week’s Learning Activities folder.
    – Review the following websites for more information on the backlog and sprint management processes.

Based on the variety of customers and stakeholders involved in this project, along with expected ambiguity in client requirements for the deliverables, the project management office (PMO) decided to use a hybrid project management methodology. This requires following an agile methodology that uses incremental and iterative approaches to gather client feedback throughout the development stages.

In this hybrid approach, the WBS will be used to create the product backlog. At this time, 25% of the deliverables have not been started, 50% are in progress, and 25% have been completed.
