Respond to SL( No more than 100 words)

    Hello everyone,

One of my strengths is my ability to adapt to different environments. I have lived and worked in different countries, so I have experience with different cultures and ways of working. This helped me become more flexible and open to new situations. When I enter a new role, I am usually able to learn quickly and adjust to the environment.

Another strength I have is my logical thinking from my science background. Studying engineering helped me build a structured way of thinking, and I often look at problems from an analytical perspective. At the same time, my personality is more people-oriented, and I enjoy communicating and working with others. Because of this combination, I am able to both analyze problems carefully and also connect with people.

In my past experience, I have worked in different types of roles. For example, my major was in automation, and I had an internship in Denmark at a company called 3D Sharp, where I worked in an engineering-related role. Later, I moved into more business-related work. Now I am working in public service at a Social Services Agency. Even though these roles are different, I was able to learn and perform well in each position.

Going forward, I will continue to use these strengths in my career development plan. I believe they will help me take on new responsibilities, such as moving into a Deputy Public Guardian or supervisor role. These strengths will also help me work with different teams and continue learning in public service.

Respond to YC (No more than 100 words)

    Class and Professor,

One strength I plan to highlight in my reflection paper is the ability to think through complex problems in a clear and structured way.

I developed this skill during my five years as a Naval Aviation Maintenance Officer in the U.S. Navy. Every day, I had to make decisions about aircraft safety and maintenance. The stakes were high. The information was often incomplete. I could not guess or go with my gut alone. I had to look at the facts, apply the right standards, and make a call I could defend. I did this repeatedly, under pressure, until it became a habit.

This strength showed up directly in this MBA course. When I worked through the Acuwareness cybersecurity case, I looked at each of the four options carefully. I did not just pick the one that seemed easiest. I asked questions. I looked at the costs. I looked at the risks. I thought about what each option would mean for the company in the long run. That process felt natural to me because it mirrors what I did every day in the military.

This strength also helped me handle the harder parts of the case. When the background check situation came up in the scenario, I had to think carefully. The employee’s personal situation and the quality of the AI system were two separate things. I kept them separate in my analysis. I did not let one cloud the other. That kind of clear, focused thinking is something the military trained me to do well.

Going forward, I plan to use this strength in my consulting career. I want to work with large companies and government agencies. My job will be to look at their problems and give them clear, honest answers. Clients do not just need someone with knowledge. They need someone who can take a messy situation and make sense of it. That is exactly what structured thinking allows me to do. I plan to keep building this skill through real work experience and continued learning as I move into the next chapter of my career.

This proposal must be approved by the professor before you proceed with the full project. Please adhere to the following guidelines

This proposal outlines the plan for your upcoming project focusing on the economic issues. This proposal must be approved by the professor before you proceed with the full project. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

    1. Student Information:

Student Name(s): [List all group member names, clearly indicating the primary contact person if a group project.]

    2. Project Title:

Proposed Project Title: [Enter a concise and descriptive title that accurately reflects the project's focus. Be specific. Avoid generic titles. Examples: "The Rising Cost of Insulin: Impacts on Patients," "The Economics of Preventative Care," "How Insurance Affects Access to Mental Health Services."]

    3. Chosen Course Objective:

Clearly state the course objective: "Identify the economic issues that impact healthcare delivery."

Choose from any of the unit objectives.

    4. Focus and Scope:

Specific Economic Issue: Identify one specific economic issue within healthcare delivery that your project will address. Choose a topic that is manageable and accessible data. Examples:

The rising costs of a specific medication (e.g., insulin, EpiPens)

The impact of co-pays or deductibles on patient access to care

The economic benefits of preventative care (e.g., vaccinations, mammograms)

The relationship between health insurance coverage and access to specific services (e.g., mental health, dental care)

The financial challenges faced by uninsured or underinsured populations

The economic impact of a specific health condition (e.g., diabetes, heart disease) on individuals or families.

Scope of Investigation: Briefly describe the specific aspects of this economic issue that you will investigate. Keep it simple. What are the key questions you will explore? What data will you look at? Who will be the focus of your project (e.g., specific patient population, community)? Examples:

"This project will examine the factors contributing to the rising cost of insulin and its impact on patients with diabetes in [Your Local Area/State]."

"This project will explore how co-pays and deductibles affect patients' decisions to seek preventative care services."

"This project will investigate the economic benefits of childhood vaccinations, including cost savings associated with preventing infectious diseases."

"This project will analyze the relationship between Medicaid coverage and access to mental health services for young adults."

    5. Rationale for Focus:

Justification: Briefly explain why you chose this specific economic issue. What is the significance of this issue? Why is it important for healthcare professionals to understand this topic? This section should be concise (3-4 sentences maximum). Example: "We chose to focus on the rising cost of insulin because it is a life-saving medication, yet many patients struggle to afford it. Understanding the economic factors contributing to this issue is crucial for nurses to advocate for affordable access to essential medications."

    6. Anticipated Visualizations:

Types of Visuals: Briefly describe the types of visuals you anticipate using in your presentation (e.g., charts, graphs, maps, tables). Be specific about what data these visuals will represent. Examples: "We anticipate using bar graphs to compare the cost of insulin over time and pie charts to show the proportion of healthcare expenses attributed to medication costs."
