refine this? Hello Wanted to get your approval on a change that we are looking to implement on the ACO pricing. There has been no directive from the reinsurers as of yet, but Richard and Guy Carp have suggested we formalize our approach on the pricing exposure with metro debits. Today, the ACO is priced based on garage state, which will remain the same. The issue comes in when the risk has auto exposure in multiple states, that drive a metro debit, however, we are only pricing the account off the garage state without the metro debit. The issue has come up a number of times at audit, where the reinsurers were questioning why we didn’t apply a metro credit, and we want to try and be proactive in our approach. We are looking to set a threshold for metro exposure in the portfolio.
So, if a risk has more than 20% exposure in a anyone of the metro areas, the entire account would be priced with the metro debit – so basically if a risk has more than an incidental exposure in a metro debit area, we would apply the change to the entire account. Today, this is not happening.
If there was a case where a risk had multiple metro debit areas, the risk would be priced with the metro debit from the location with the highest vehicle count Let me know what you think?

The manager of a book store at City College purchases T-shirts from a vendor at a cost of $25 per shirt. The bookstore incurs an ordering cost of $100 per order, and the annual holding cost is 18% of the purchase cost of a T-shirt. The store manager estimates that the demand for T-shirts for the upcoming year will be 1,800 shirts. The store operates 50 weeks per year, five days per week. The vendor is willing to offer quantity discounts to the bookstore according to the following schedule:

A company manufactures a standard electrical component and operates 12 months a year. The product has steady demand, and raw materials are ordered in fixed batch quantities. All finished goods are shipped immediately after production. The company wants to reduce its inventory-related costs by using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model. Raw materials are delivered 5 working days after placing an order. The company operates 24 working days per month. Below is the relevant data:
    Table: Operational Data

    i) Number of orders placed per year
ii) Total ordering cost per year
    (C) Find the following:
    i) Average inventory level
    ii) Total annual holding cost
    (D) Calculate the Reorder Point (ROP) assuming uniform daily demand.

Upraise Spins is a manufacturer of bicycles and sells its bikes to retail outlets that serve the consumer market. Upraise Spins bicycles are priced at $1,500 and up and are typically sold to consumers who are recreational riders or those aspiring to compete in amateur cycling or triathlon events. Upraise Spins has enjoyed a steady stream of revenue from its line of road bicycles, which are more traditional, multispeed bicycles for those who enjoy long rides on city or rural roads. Sales of road bikes are relatively stable, and Upraise Spins does little to market the bikes to consumers because it has a dominant share of the market. However, hybrid bikes represent a growing segment as younger consumers prefer the upright riding position of hybrids, which can be utilized for either road or mountain biking. Upraise Spins is introducing a hybrid line of bikes and supporting it with extensive advertising in specialty magazines as well as social media marketing. Upraise Spins believes the category of hybrid bikes is growing, but its market position is not as strong as that of other manufacturers such as Canyon.
Using the Boston Consulting Groups growth share matrix, how would road bicycles be categorized? What about hybrid bikes?

➤ How do non-compensatory rules affect choices when salary conflicts with job security or life stability?
Non-compensatory rules set minimum acceptable thresholds that options must meet. For example, require a salary floor and no unacceptable relocation. If an option fails any essential cutoff, you discard it despite higher benefits elsewhere. Use clear thresholds for security and personal disruption to prevent risky choices that conflict with your core priorities.
